Description
During a six-day white-water rafting adventure on the Babine River in central British Columbia, our group of adventurers took a side trip to search for ancient fossils. Reaching the fossil-rich rock face was an ordeal in itself. The rafting team, consisting of ten people, first had to cross a raging stream. This crossing required ropes and help from individuals on both sides of the stream to steady each person as they made their way across. Slipping, meant falling into the creek and being carried downstream into the fast-moving Babine River.
